Immigrant Investor Venture Capital Pilot Program (IIVC)
Only 60 applications will be accepted for processing in 2015.
The federal investor program or IIVC is a new pilot program introduced in 2015.
To qualify, you must have a personal net worth of CAD$10 million or more.
You must be able to prove the source of your assets by obtaining a due diligence report from a designated service provider.
You must make an at-risk investment of CAD$2 million in the IIVC Fund for 15 years.
You must achieve at least 4 in Reading, and 5 in Writing, Listening and Speaking in IELTS General Training.
You must have:
- A completed Canadian post-secondary degree, diploma or certificate of at least one year; or
- A foreign equivalent, as validated by an original Educational Credential Assessment (ECA) Report from a CIC-designated organization
But if you have a personal net worth of $50 million or more, you can request an exemption from the education requirements.
